Lika Mujirishvili

 “I am Lika Mujirishvili, I have a six year old son, Giorgi Gasviani. I knew from the very first moment that I saw him that he had health problems. He was diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy. When I heard those two words for the first time I was very confused. I have seen other children with the same diagnose before but I couldn't imagine that it could happen to my child.

Our family lives in Lentekhi. There are no centers or resources there for children with disabilities. Every time our child needs something we have to take him to Kutaisi or Tbilisi. I have been fighting for several years to get some services locally but it seems like no one cares. I submitted letters to several institutions asking for help but not one of them replied.

I still have hope. I believe that someone, someday, will come forward and help us to establish disability services in our municipality.”
